Al Nassr Eyeing Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes

Al Nassr, one of the clubs in the Saudi Pro League, are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes. The club, known for signing Cristiano Ronaldo in December 2022, is looking to strengthen their squad with additions in various positions.

According to a source at ESPN, Al Nassr believes that Fernandes would be a great addition to their midfield. However, they are aware that it will not be an easy task to secure his signature. Manchester United is said to be keen on keeping the Portuguese international, but a substantial offer could potentially sway their decision.

Despite having money available for transfers this summer, Manchester United’s financial situation remains tight due to Profit and Sustainability rules. The club’s budget for new signings will heavily rely on the departure of some current players. Fernandes, who is under contract with the club until at least 2026, is seeking assurances about the team’s future ambitions following a disappointing season.

The club has already seen the departure of Raphaël Varane, who announced that he will be leaving at the end of his contract in the summer. Additionally, Anthony Martial’s contract is also set to expire in June. Christian Eriksen, who has had limited playing time this season, is available for transfer with a year left on his deal. Manchester United is also open to realistic offers for several first-team players, including Casemiro, in an effort to reduce their wage bill.

Al Nassr’s interest in Bruno Fernandes highlights the ongoing transfer activities in the football world. While the Saudi club sees Fernandes as a valuable addition to their squad, the financial considerations and player departures at Manchester United could play a significant role in determining the outcome of this potential transfer deal.
