The Latest Transfer Buzz

Manchester United is reportedly looking to outmaneuver Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig to secure the signature of Paris Saint-Germain winger Xavi Simons. The 21-year-old caught the eye with an impressive loan spell at RB Leipzig, where he managed to score eight goals and provide 13 assists in the Bundesliga.

There are similarities between United’s pursuit of Simons and their recent acquisition of Leny Yoro. In both cases, the Red Devils were seen as underdogs in the race to sign the player, with PSG and Leipzig having a strong connection that could have facilitated a straightforward deal. However, reports suggest that there may be an opportunity for United to swoop in and secure Simons’s services.

United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, is said to be a huge admirer of Simons, and his assistant manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy, is actively trying to persuade the winger to join the club. Despite PSG’s rumored €100 million asking price, United’s financial muscle could see them beat Bayern Munich and Leipzig in the race for Simons.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool Interested in Eberechi Eze

Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze has attracted interest from both Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. The 26-year-old had a strong season in the Premier League, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists. Palace is expected to demand a fee similar to the €50 million Bayern Munich paid for Michael Olise, but it remains uncertain if they will be willing to part ways with Eze following Olise’s departure.

Juventus Shift Focus to Wenderson Galeno

Italian giants Juventus have reportedly turned their attention away from Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho and towards FC Porto winger Wenderson Galeno. Sancho, who was previously linked with Juventus, has held positive talks with United’s manager, suggesting he may stay at Old Trafford. Galeno’s impressive performances for Porto, with 16 goals and 12 assists last season, have caught Juventus’ eye, with the Portuguese side open to offers in the region of €40 million.

Sevilla is rumored to be interested in signing Barcelona winger Ansu Fati. If Barcelona successfully land their summer targets, including RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo, Fati could find himself surplus to requirements at the Catalan club. Sevilla is reportedly keen to strike a deal for Fati, possibly on loan, as the young winger’s future at Barcelona remains uncertain.

Contrary to earlier reports, Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has not reached an agreement with Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad. While De Bruyne had been linked with a move to the Middle East, it appears that negotiations have not yet been finalized. Al Ittihad is now focused on securing a deal for Aston Villa’s Moussa Diaby, with a €60 million agreement reportedly in place.

Emile Smith Rowe Stays Put

Crystal Palace and Fulham have not received positive responses from Emile Smith Rowe’s camp after unsuccessful attempts to sign the Arsenal midfielder. Despite offers from both clubs being rejected by Arsenal, Smith Rowe’s representatives have not actively pursued a move away from the Gunners.
